Geometrics 882

Magnetometer

The G882 is a high-resolution cesium vapor marine magnetometer offering flexibility in shallow and deep-water applications. The system directly interfaces to all major side-scan manufacturers for tandem tow configurations or can be paired with a second G882 to create a gradiometer. The unit sends data out via Serial RS232 and can be configured for nose or CG-tow.

Our standard configuration comes with an aluminum tow body with built-in pressure sensor and altimeter, junction box, 60-meters of soft tow cable, tool kit, serial cable, USB-to-Serial adapter, power supply, USB drive with Geometrics configuration software and user manuals, and transit cases. Typically runs with third-party software packages like QPS, HYPACK, SonarWiz, or Geometrics MagLog.
